Obituary

Matilda Moravek, 85, of Belle Vernon, formerly of Coraopolis, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006, in her residence. She was born Jan. 11, 1921, in Charleroi, a daughter of the late John and Suzanna Kucera Moravek. Matilda was a retired pharmacist and lived in Coraopolis for 80 years. She most recently resided at the Belle Vernon Apartments, where she had many friends. Matilda was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. Surviving are the following nieces and nephews: Mary Jo Yetsconish and husband Chuck, of Fayette City, Paula Komperda and husband Ray, of Belle Vernon, Chuck Yetsconish and wife Tina, of Fayette City, John Komperda, of Belle Vernon, Olga Moravek Vesely, Vicki Wenick and husband Lou, of Panama City, Fla., Chris Coleman and husband Donald, of Tampa, Fla., and William Janeri and wife Carmella, of Lancaster, Ohio. Friends will be received in the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC., 334 Main St., Fayette City, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Saturday, Feb. 18, until noon, the hour of services in the funeral home.
