Matilda J.Peroney;83;of 410 Jacobs St.;Belle Vernon;died Monday;May 17;1976 at 4 a.m.in the home of a daughter;Mrs.George Waggett of 111 Homewood Ave.;Belle Vernon. Mrs.Peroney was born in Greenoak;Pa.;on Feb.12;1893;and had been a resident of the Belle Vernon area since 1912. She was a member of the Lynnwood Lutheran Church. Mrs.Peroney was preceded in death by a son;Humbert Peroney Jr.in 1944. She is survived by her husband;Humbert Peroney;two sons;Kermit W.and Leonard E.Peroney;both of Belle Vernon;one daughter;Mrs.George (Virginia) Waggett of Belle Vernon;one brother;Clarence Kretchemere of Detroit;Mich.;two sisters;Mrs.Martha Gentilli of McKeesport and Mrs.Bertha Terrington of Daytona Beach;Fla.;eight grandchildren;and seven great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;Belle Vernon from 7 to 9 p.m.Tuesday;May 18;and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.Wednesday;May 19. Services will be held in the funeral home Thursday;May 20;at 1:30 p.m.;with Pastor Hartzell A.Mitchell of the Lynnwood Lutheran Church;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
