Matilda Berklovich Galiotto; 93; of West Mifflin; formerly of Belle Vernon; died Wednesday; Nov. 9; 2011; at John J. Kane Regional Center; McKeesport. Born Dec. 27; 1917; in Whitsett; she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Simko Berklovich. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; Mrs. Galiotto was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church and was a homemaker. She was a member of the former Catholic Daughters of the Americas Belle Vernon Court 1522 and the former St. Sebastian Ladies Guild. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; Eugene and Nancy Galiotto; of Elizabeth; George Galiotto Jr. and wife; Faith; of West Mifflin; two daughters and son-in-law; Rita and Kenneth Kinder; of Midlothian; Va.; and Regina Spencer; of Pittsburgh; three sisters and two brothers-in-law; Veronica Winn; of Perryopolis; Alma and Harry Joseph; of West Newton; and Ceclia and Charles Frye; of West Newton; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; George G. Galiotto; on June 18; 1994; two brothers; Joseph and John Berklovich; and three sisters; Anne Martinak; Mary Abraham and Helen Pelligrini. Visitation will be held Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME; Family Owned and Operated; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon; (724) 929-6183. Prayer service will be held Saturday at 8:45 a.m. in the funeral home; followed by Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick; pastor; as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Matilda Galiotto; Friday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
