Mathilda G. Helzlsouer of 56 Schoonmaker Ave.,Monessen,died Friday,Aug. 21,1987,in Mon Valley Hospital. Born in Monessen,she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Presky Helzlsouer. A lifelong Monessen resident,Miss Helzlsouer was retired from the Authority of the Borough of Charleroi. She was a member of St. Leonard Roman Catholic Church,Monessen,and its Ladies Guild. Miss Helzlsouer was also a member of Catholic Daughters of America Court, Monessen and the Monessen AARP. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Willim E. Helzlsouer Sr. and Joseph Helzlsouer. Survivors include one sister,Merie Helzlsouer,with whom she made her home;one niece,Mrs. Donald (Carolyn) Clegg of Greensburg;one nephew,William E. Helzlsouer Jr. of West Mifflin and two great-nephews. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Robert A. Billick Funeral Home,Inc.,Monessen,where a Blessing service will be held Tuesday,Aug. 25,at 10 a.m.,followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Leonard R.C. Church,Monessen,with Father Patrick O'Connor as celebrant. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Robert A. Billick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
