Mrs. Marietta Alexander,aged 60 years,Pleasant Green Hill,Pricedale,died suddenly of a heart attack,Monday,Jan. 24,1955,at 1:30 p.m. at her late home. A resident of Belle Vernon for 30 years,the deceased was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church,Belle Vernon. Surviving are her husband, Henry Alexander;a son,Willie,of Belle Fonte;two daughters, Mrs. Magnolia Barkley and Mrs. Idalia Jones, both of New York City;three sisters, Mrs. Obbie Ward and Virginia Young,both of Brierfield,Ala.,and Estella Thomas,of Des Moines,Iowa;a brother,Tobbe Young,of Brierfield and a grandchild. Friends are being received at the Draper Funeral Home,608 Sixth street,Monessen. Funeral services will be held Thursday,Jan. 27,at 1:30 p.m.from the Antioch Baptist Church,Belle Vernon,with Rev. A.C. Morris officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Beverly C. Draper,funeral director.
