Mary Ann Hale;74;of 919 Fayette Ave.;Belle Vernon;died Monday;April 25;1994;at 11:30 a.m. in Shadyside Hospital;Pittsburgh. She was born in Fayette City;Feb.25;1920;a daughter of the late James and Mary Jane Hency Osborne. Mrs.Hale was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon. She was a past matron of the Belle Vernon Order of the Eastern Star. She spent most of her adult life in the Belle Vernon area and was formerly employed for many years by the G.C.Murphy Co.;located in Hills Plaza. She retired in 1975. Mrs.Hale is survived by two sons;Charles Hale;at home;and James W.and wife;Jan Hale of Fayette City;one brother;Charles R.Osborne of Fayette City;two sisters;Mrs.Willis (Olive) Johnson of Fayette City and Vera Yannacci of Smithfield;one grandson;Joshua Hale;and three granddaughters;Cari;Shannon and Jillian Hale. In addtiotion to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Walter U.Hale;who died in November of 1977;a brother;Thomas Osborne;and a sister;Alice Stone. Friends will be received in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev.James Burton of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon officiating. Interment will be private. If friends wish;they may make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association or Community Ambulance Service. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of the arrangements.
