Mary L. Labosh Karbowsky Peffer, 93, of Charleroi, formerly of Belle Vernon, died Monday, June 8, 2015, at 6:25 p.m. at Monongahela Valley Hospital. Born Aug. 28, 1921, in Charleroi, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Urda Labosh. Mary was a founding member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church with her husband Michael, a charter member of the St. Barbara's Altar Guild, chairperson for the religious articles and icons at the church and was a past member of parish council. Mary was a homemaker and loving mother and grandmother, and her family meant everything to her. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Tammy Karbowsky of North Huntingdon; three daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Robert Rousseau of Speers, Sandra and James Gable of Uniontown, Sylvia and Tom Stephan of Charleroi; seven grandchildren, Michelle Rousseau, Eric Rousseau, Patricia Ann Karbowsky, Michael Karbowsky Jr., James Gable and wife, Kelly, Jennifer Kapral and husband, Andrew, Allison Gable; four great-grandchildren, Devin Piasecki, Paul Spinneweber, John Spinneweber, Alexander Gable; brother, Steve Labosh of Charleroi; three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Karbowsky of Belle Vernon, Pauline Karbowsky of Smithton, and Marsha Karbowsky of McMurray; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Michael Karbowsky; second husband, Robert Peffer; brother, John Labosh Jr.; and a sister, Peggy Honchalk. Visitation will be held 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Relatives and friends will gather Friday, June 12, 2015, at Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church for 10 a.m funeral services with the Very Rev. Samuel Smolcic of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Parastas services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
