Obituary

Mary Louise Vernet, 100, of Monessen, died Saturday, March 10, 2012, in Victoria House III. She was born in Monessen on Feb. 13, 1912, the daughter of the late Bernardo and Louisa Losco Arnoldi. Mrs. Vernet was a lifelong resident of Monessen, a 1929 graduate of Monessen High School and a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church. She is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, Rudolph A. and Cheryl Vernet, Donald E. and Joan Vernet, all of Monessen, and Lawrence B. and Renee Vernet, of Sarasota, Fla., 10 grandchildren, Debbie, Robert, Randy, Michele, Devery, Kathleen, Ronald, Donald, Bryan and Laura, 11 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, and by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Vernet, three brothers, Cecil, Frank, and Alfred Fred (Donna) Arnoldi, and by two sisters, Adeline Koneffko and Julia Feducia. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen, (724) 684-8750. Services will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, beginning with a 9:30 a.m. blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church with Father Michael Crookston officiating.
