Mary V.Hoffman of 62 Johnston St.;Belle vernon;died Friday;Feb.18;1983;at 6:15 a.m.in the Mon Valley Hospital. She was 87. Mrs.Hoffman was born March 17;1895;in Shamony;Pa.;a daughter of the late Adam and Mary Kekely. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 60 years;she was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. In additon to her parents Mrs.Hoffman was preceded in death by two sons;Edward;May 15;1966;and Joseph B.;April 2;1980. Survivors include her husband;Joseph J.Hoffman;two sons;James V.Hoffman of Belle Vernon and retired U.S.Army Col.Paul Hoffman of Huntsville;Ala;two daughters;Mrs.Albert (Mary Patricia) Zidek of Coal Center and Mrs.Albert (Betty Ann) Tonkavitch of Port View;Va.;one brother;Adam Kelly of Charleroi R.D.1;one sister;Helen Kekely of Brownsville;15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends will be recieved in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Prayer service will be held on Monday;Feb.21;at 9:30 a.m.followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian Church;Belle Vernon.
