Mary T.Worrell;former Rostraver Township tax collector;of 167 Hermitage Circle;Ligonier;Pa.;died Wednesday;Oct.16;1985;at 7 a.m. in her home. She was 80. Mrs.Worrell was born Dec.11;1904;in Pricedale;a daughter of the late John and Mary Monks Turner. She was a member of the Pricedale Union Church;where she taught the Adult Class for over 10 years before she moved to Ligonier seven years ago. Mrs.Worrell worked in the Rostraver Township wage tax office for several years. Later;she was appointed wage tax collector and held that appointment for several years before finally being elected Rostraver Township tax collector;a position she held for eight years or two terms. She was preceded in death by her husband;Harry Worrell;on April 11;1984. Surviving are two daughters;Mrs.Donald (Kathleen) Larson of Clearwater;Fla.;and Mrs.William (Dorothy Ann) Kioski of Ligioner (with whom she made her home);one sister;Helen Turner;a resident of the Laurel Highlands Nursing Home in Donegal;Pa.;and four grandchildren. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. Friends and relatives will gather at the Union Church of Pricedale on Saturday;Oct.19;at 11 a.m.for services. Rev.David Reeves;pastor of Union Church of Pricedale and Rev.James Fogg;pastor of Calvary United Methodist Church of Ligonier;will officiate. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby Ferguson;funeral director;is in charge of arrangements.
