Mary Susan Vandernitte of 146 California St.;Fayette City;died Saturday Dec.3;1983;at 9:52 a.m.in her home. She was 59. Mrs.Vandernitte was born in Fayette City on Sept.17;1924;a daughter of the late James and Fannie Livingstone O’Brien. She was Protestant by faith. Survivors include her husband;Henry Vandernitte;a daughter;Mrs.Larry (Sandra) Solomon of Elizabeth;a stepson;Henry Keith Vandernitte of Spartansburg;S.C.;a stepdaughter;Mrs.Joseph (Nancy) Harone of Elkhart;Ind.;six grandchildren;a brother;Charles O’Brien of Fayette City;and a sister;Elizabeth Speck of Pittsburgh. Friends will be received at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home in Fayette City on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.and on Tuesday until 1 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 1 p.m.;with the Rev.Norman C.Hunt officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
