Mrs. Mary Sobek; Cook St.
Extension; Fayette City; died
Monday at 2:45 a.m in the
Monongahela Valley Hospital
Inc.; Carroll Township after a
short illness. She was 88.
Born in Poland Feb. 12;
1893; she was the daughter of
the late Sebastian and Marcianna Ciba.
Mrs. Sobek was a member
of Holy Spirit R C. Church of
Fayette City.
She was preceded in death
by her husband. Wladyslaw
Mike Sobek on Sept. 5. 1968.
Survivors include four
sons; Joseph Sobek of Fayette
City; and Thaddeus;
Lawrence and Carl Sobek; all
of Belle Vernon ; two
daughters; Mrs. Anthony
( Ann ) Semancik of Fayette
City and Mrs. Anthony
(Stella) Errigo of Belle Vernon; several brothers and
sisters in Poland; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Friends are being received
at the Howard W. McCrory
Funeral Home; Fayette City
on Monday from 7-9 p.m. and
Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9p.m.
A parish Prayer service will
be held Monday al 8 p.m. at
the funeral home and a
Rosary will be said Tuesday
at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. On Wednesday;Prayer services will be held at 2 p.m.at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 2:30 p.m.at the Holy Spirit R.C.Church of Fayette City with the Rev.Father Thomas G.Rinn;pastor of the church as celebrant. Burial will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
