Mary Kachmarik Smock of Ridge Road, Belle Vernon, died Friday at her home. She was 75. Mrs. Smock was born in Monessen on Nov. 1, 1907, a daughter of the late Anthony and Aniela Kachmarik. She was a lifelong resident of the Mon Valley and was a member of the St. Nicholas Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Monessen. Surviving are her husband, Eldridge (Dice) Smock; four brothers, Col. Mike Kachmarik of Metaire, La., John, Alexander and Anthony, all of Monessen; two sisters, Mrs. Nick (Zella) Sutovich of Monessen and Mrs. Joseph (Ann) Cherocci of Baldwin Park. Calif.; several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 p. m. and 7-9 p.m. A Blessing Service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Nicholas Fedorovich officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
