Mary S.Grove;94;of Belle Vernon R.D.2;died Wednesday;Aug.31;1988;in Jefferson Center Hospital;Jefferson Borough. Mrs.Grove was born June 28;1894;in Smithton;a daughter of the late Orton and Loretta Hough. She was a former school teacher at the historic Concord School in Rostraver Township. Mrs.Grove was a member of the Char-Belle Methodist Church;Belle Vernon. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Blaine F.Grove;in 1967;and by a son;Robert B.Grove;in 1981. Surviving are her daughter-in-law;Patricia L.Grove of Belle Vernon R.D.2;two granddaughters;Mrs.Debra Wecast in New Jersey and Mrs.Susan Dalrymple of Dawson;three grandsons;Robert Grove Jr.of Monessen and Dennis and James Grove;both of Belle Vernon;two great-grandchildren;Steven Dalrymple and Allyssa Grove;and several nieces. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the funeral home;with the Rev.Eugene Spear officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The James C.Stump Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
