Mary Ruth Rhodes, 67,of 109 Marion Ave.,Belle Vernon,died Sunday,Aug. 25,1996,at 12:30 a.m. at home. She was born in Rostraver Township,June 17,1929,a daughter of the late David and Irene Hepple Dudgeon. Mrs. Rhodes was Presbyterian by faith. She was a lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area and had resided in Fairhope since 1952. She was a former employee of Bell Telephone Company and the former Steinburg Market for many years. Surviving are her husband,Clinton Jack Rhodes;three sons and two daughters-in-law,Jack Rhodes,Richard and Andrea Rhodes and Clinton and Carol Rhodes,all of Belle Vernon;one brother,Earl Dudgeon of Belle Vernon;one sister,Dorothy Rider of Lordstown,Ohio;and three grandchildren,William Sharpless,Rebecca Rhodes and Nicole Stanish. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by a brother, Elmer (Mick) Dudgeon. Friends will be received in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Michael Milinovich,pastor of the First United Methodist Church of West Newton,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of the arrangements.
