She was born in Monessen;Nov.8;1910;the daughter of Andrew and Mary Kurtak. She moved to Weirton in 1930;and was a member of St.Mary’s Greek Catholic Church;Weirton. She is survived by her husband;Michael Melnick;her parents;Mr.and Mrs.Andrew Kurtak;Monessen;three brothers;Michael;Andrew and Joseph Kurtak of Monessen;two sisters;Mrs.Anna Klawcho and Mrs.Elizabeth Shirley of Pricedale. Friends are being received at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home;3219 Main St.;Weirton;Friday and Saturday. The remains will be removed to the Check Home for Funerals;Monessen on Sunday morning. Services there Monday;Nov.28;1960;at 10 a.m.will be followed by additional rites at St.Mary’s Byzantine Rite Catholic Church;Monessen. Interment;Belle Vernon Cemetery.
