Mary P.Ritzer of Belle Vernon R.D.5 (Gibsonton) died Wednesday April 27;1983;at 8:15 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital. She was 77. Born in Monessen on Oct.1;1905;she was the daughter of the late Morgan E.and Mary Tucker James. Mrs.Ritzer was a member of the First Baptist Church of Monessen and the N.A.B.A.of Charleroi. She was an active worker for the Democratic Party in Rostraver Township for many years. Mrs.Ritzer came to the Belle Vernon area from Monessen in 1929. She was preceded in death by her husband;George A.Ritzer in September of 1972 and a brother;Morgan E.James Jr.Surviving are a son;Donald R.;and his wife;Jackie Ritzer of Charleroi;a sister;Mrs.Winnifred Lancaster of Belle Vernon R.D.5;two grandsons and one great-granddaughter. Friends are being received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m.;with Rev.Earl M.Lahman of the First Baptist Church of Monessen officiating.
