Mary Kovach Paulina; 94; of Perryopolis; went home to be with the Lord Tuesday; April 13; 2010; at 4:40 a.m. at Washington County Health Center; Washington. Born Dec. 6; 1915; in Gary; W;Va.; she was the daughter of the late Michael and Sophia Koten Kovach. A resident of Perryopolis for the past 59 years; Mrs. Paulina was a member of the Christian Center Church of Belle Vernon and was a homemaker. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law; David J. and Theresa Paulina; of Perryopolis; three daughters and a son-in-law; Annette and David Larcinese; of Attica; Mich.; Sonja Philips; of Greensboro; N.C.; Pamela Paulina and fiance; Richard Brock; of Baden; three sisters; Sophie Hershberger; of Monessen; Irene Sekoski; of Uniontown; and Veronica Deacon; of Hilton Head; S.C.; six grandchildren; Lisa Patterson; Danny Curtis; Len Philips Jr.; Renee Houpt; Dave Paulina Jr.; and Tiffany Laverick; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; Michael Paulina; on Feb. 22; 1980;; a grandson; Ronald Curtis; son-in-law; Leonard Philips; two brothers; John and Aleck Kovach; and four sisters; Barbara Stark; Nancy Pastorek; Helen Kovach and Ann Trembolak. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME; Family Owned and Operated; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon (724)929-6183.
