Mary P. Fister; 88; of Monessen; died Thursday; May 3; 2007; in Hallsworth House; Charleroi. Born in Monessen on June 16; 1918; she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Barbara Sperke Torbar. She was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church and Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge 194; both in Monessen. Besides her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Albert J. Fister; a son; Albert J. Fister Jr.; one brother; John Torbar; and one sister; Rose Popovich. She is survived by her daughter-in-law; Mary Ann Kinney and husband Peter; of Belle Vernon; one grandson; Chad Fister; of Belle Vernon; and two great-granddaughters; Rachel and Ashley Fister. Friends will be received Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m.; the hour of service in the ROBERT A. BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC.; Grand Boulevard and Marion Avenue; Monessen (724-684-3700).
