Obituary

Mary Emery Nagy, 94, of Rostraver Township, died Monday, July 5, 2004, at 9:35 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. Born Sept. 14, 1909, in Blackburn, she was a daughter of the late George and Barbara Danko Emery. Mrs. Nagy was a resident of Belle Vernon for the past 62 years, a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon and was a homemaker. She was a charter member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Belle Vernon Court 1522, and a member of the Legion of Mary, St. Sebastian Church. Mrs. Nagy is survived by one son, Paul E. Nagy of Mt. Lebanon, one daughter and son-in-law, Carole and Robert Cameron of Atlanta, Ga., one sister, Helen Horn of Sharon, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Nagy, in 1959, two brothers, George and John Emery, and three sisters, Ann Rumora, Margaret Fraser and Barbara Messett. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon (724-929-6183). Services will be held Wednesday, July 7 at the funeral home at noon with the Rev. Lawrence L. Manchas V.F. of St. Sebastian R.C. Church, officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Mary Nagy on Tuesday at 3:15 p.m. in the funeral home.
