Mary Melnick;77;of 717 Speer St.;Belle Vernon;died Tuesday;April 18;1989;at 9:15 p.m.in Monongahela Valley Hospital. She was born in Ford City Nov.5;1911;a daughter of the late John and Julia Pancisin Bachinski. Mrs.Melnick was a member of St.Sebastian Catholic Church;Belle Vernon;and was a resident of Belle Vernon for over 50 years. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Walter (Wadek) Melnick in 1981;one son;Edward Melnick in 1968;and one sister;Ann Bedner. She is survived by one daughter;Ruth Marie Melnick with whom she made her residence;one son and daughter-in-law;Walter and JoAnn Melnick of Belle Vernon;three brothers;Mike Bachinski;Tony Bachinski;and John Bachinski;all of Monessen;one sister;Stella Bachinski;and one granddaughter;Jennifer Melnick. Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home;Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 9:30 a.m.followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St.Sebastian Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
