Mary May Evans of 817 Lookout Ave.;Charleroi;died at her home at 4:35 p.m. Wednesday;May 15;1985. She was 80. Born in Pricedale;Feb.20;1905;she was a daughter of the late Peter and Maria Grabania. Mrs.Evans was a member of St.John the Divine Orthodox Church of Monessen. She was a retired employee of Corning Glass of Charleroi. She was preceded in death by her husband;Russell S.Evans in 1966 and a daughter;Mary Jane Robertson. Surviving are a son;Frank R.Evans of Monessen;a brother;William Grabania of Elizabeth Township;five sisters;Mildred Grabania;Pauline Sypoli and Mrs.Michael (Nellie) Pobok;all of Monessen;Mrs.Peter (Ann) McKosky of Belle Vernon and Rose Kostura of North Charleroi;five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends are being received on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home;226 Fallowfield Ave.;Charleroi;where a parastas service will be held Friday at 7 p.m. Prayer services will begin on Saturday;May 18;at 10:30 a.m.at the funeral home;followed by a Requiem Mass at 11 a.m. at St.John the Divine Orthodox Church of Monessen with the Rev.Father John Horosky as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
