Mrs. Mary M. Bowers,83,of 120 SheldonAve.,Fairchance,formerly of Twilight,died in the Waddington Nursing Home,Fayette City,R.D.1, on Wednesday, August 9,1961 at 8:15 a.m.She was born March 29,1878,in Gibsonton,and had been a resident on the Belle Vernon area all her life. She had lived in Fairchance for three months. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Belle Vernon,the Loyal Women's Class and the Missionary Society of the church. Survivors are four sons,Howard,John and Addison Bowers of Belle Vernon,and Edward of Concord,Calif.,two daughters,Mrs. Eugene (Bertha) Taylor,of Fairchance,and Mrs. Amelia Lutz,of Weirton,W.Va.,sixteen grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon. Services will be held there Saturday,Aug. 12,at 2 p.m.,in charge of the Rev. E.M. Oakes,pastor of the First Christian Church of Belle Vernon. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D. Ferguson is the funeral director.
