Obituary
Mrs. Mary Majors,611 Margureite St.,Monessen,died Tuesday morning,Sept. 29,1959,at 10:30 at her home after a short illness. Born in Martinsville,Va.,Dec.25,1889,Mrs. Majors had lived in Monessen since 1917. She was a member of the Union Baptist Church and of the Star of Bethlehem Chapter 34 of the Order of the Eastern Star of Monessen. Surviving are two sons, Willie Parker of Columbus, Ohio and Leroy (Bobo) Majors at home. She was preceded in death by her husband,May 19,1939. Also surviving is a sister, Millie Ann Wade of Jamaica,N.Y. and two brothers, John Parker of Cleveland,Ohio and Walter Parker of Columbus,Ohio and 12 grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Draper Funeral Home,Monessen,from 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday,Oct. 3,at 11 a.m. from the Union Baptist Church,Monessen,with the Rev. E.W.Jarrett officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Beverly Draper,funeral director.
