Obituary

Mary L. Vitale Neupaver, 96, of Belle Vernon, Lynnwood, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2024, at Residence at Hilltop, Monongahela. Born Aug. 17, 1927, in Webster, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Flora Lorenzo Vitale. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 62 years, having resided at Residence at Hilltop for the past five years, Mrs. Neupaver was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon. She was an active member and officer at the Center on the Hill, Fairhope, where she socialized, played cards and bingo, enjoyed going to the Meadows and watching her soap operas. Mary was an avid Steelers fan and loved watching her grandchildren play sports. She was a friendly, full of kindness, loving, outgoing individual who was immediately loved by whomever she met. She will truly be missed. She is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Mary Neupaver of Rostraver Township, Albert and Barbara Neupaver of Venetia, and David and Sharon Nuepaver of Southington, Conn.; sister, Rose Vitale of Webster; 12 grandchildren, Danita, Brian, Jason, Rebecca, Chris, Alison, Ryan, Brandon, Buenna, Jessica, Sarah and Natacia; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Neupaver; four brothers, Thomas, Frank, Allen and John Vitale; and sister, Sarah Overton. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Prayers of transfer will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Sebastian R.C. Church with Msgr. James Gaston as celebrant. Entombment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Mary L. Neupaver to the Center on the Hill, Fairhope, Pa., in lieu of flowers.
