Mrs. Mary L. Thompson, widow of the late Leonard Thompson, died Tuesday, August 8,1944 at 5:15 a.m., at the home of her son, Russell C. Thompson, 724 Broad avenue, Belle Vernon, where she has resided for the past ten years. Mrs. Thompson, in her 87th year, was one of the oldest residents of Belle Vernon. During her younger years, she was active in the varous departments of the Methodist Church and in civic and social affairs. Surviving are her son,Russell C. Thompson and a grandson,Lt. James Thompson with the Air Corps in India. Friends are being received at the Meleyzer Funeral Home where services will be held Thursday,August 10 at 3 p.m. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Charles L. Melenyzer and Edwin F. Melenyzer,funeral directors in charge.
