Mary Lee Kassler; 73; of Elizabeth; died suddenly on Tuesday; July 23; 2002; while on vacation in Tallahassee; Fla. A daughter of the late Norman and Florence Drake Case; she was born in Pittsburgh on Nov. 10; 1928. She had resided in Elizabeth for 30 years and was formerly of Belle Vernon. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law; Lynn and Lane Sickles of Belle Vernon; Cindy Heichel of Dallas; Texas; two sons and one daughter-in-law; Ray and Linda Giambattista of Fayette City; and Michael Giambattista of Boston; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her former husband; Michael D. Battista; and one aunt with whom she resided; Doris Kassler. Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC.; a Golden Rule Member Firm; 700 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Monday; July 29; at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Wayne Boring; pastor of Fayette City First Christian Church; officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
