Mary L. West of Perryopolis;R.D. 1 died Thursday;May 5;1983;
at 10:30 a.m. in the Uniontown
Hospital. She was 75.
Mrs. West was born Feb.
26; 1908; in Sunnyside;a daughter of the late Thomas
and Mary Hutchison Richardson.
A resident of Perryopolis
for the past 34 years; she was
formerly of Gillespie and
Belle Vernon.
Mrs. West and her husband;
S. Paul West; had
celebrated 48 years of marriage
on March 11;1983.
In addition to her husband;
survivors include two sons;
Thomas E.. a missionary in
Brazil; and Harold A. of Star
Junction; four daughters;
Mrs. Roy (Alma) Taylor of
Belle Vernon R.D. 3; Mrs.
Harry (Vivian) Conn and
Mrs. Robert (Rita) Balantine;
both of Star Junction;
and Mrs. Dave (Sharon) Absher
of Vanderbilt; four
brothers; Thomas Richardson
of Masontown; William
Richardson of Elizabeth;
Jerome Richardson of Sunnyside
and James Richardson
of St. Petersburg; Fla.;
two sisters. Mrs. Sara Belle
Leach of Monongahela and
Mrs. Grace Dietz of
Elizabeth; 16 grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received in
the Shelby D. Ferguson
Funeral Home; 700 Broad
Ave.. Belle Vernon; on Saturday
and Sunday from 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 p.m.;where services will be held Monday;May 9;1983;at 11 a.m.with the Rev.Jean Parry;pastor of the Free Methodist Churches of Smithfield and Shoaf;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson;funeral director;is in charge of arrangements.
