Mary Honchalk Koshka; 89; of Carrick; died Saturday; Dec. 14; 2002; in Manor Care of Whitehall. A daughter of the late Peter and Mary Fertack Honchalk; she was born Feb. 17; 1913; in Pricedale. She was a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church of Belle Vernon. Formerly of Pricedale; she had resided in Carrick for the past 70 years. Survivors include four daughters and two sons-in-law; Anita Beistel of Carrick; Jennie Brindle of Bloomfield; Patricia and Anthony Richards of Carrick; and Anna and Mario Richards of Baldwin; two brothers; Martin Honchalk of O’Brien; Fla.; and Peter Honchalk of Lynnwood (Belle Vernon); one sister; Jennie Hostetler of Charleroi; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; William Koshka; in 1961; and two sisters; Rose Gimbara and Anna Boyer. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC.; (724-929-5300); a Golden Rule Member Firm; 700 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon. A prayer service will be in the funeral home Wednesday; Dec. 18; at 9:30 a.m. with Father John Kluchko officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A Parastas Service will be in the funeral home Tuesday at 8 p.m.
