Mary Katherine Karcesky, 91, of Perryopolis, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 in Jenn ie’s Personal Care Home. A daughter of the late Sev ester and Mary Hutchinson Moats, she was born on June 3, 1933. Previously from Lochearn, Md., Mary has resided in Perryopolis for the past 30 years. She loved playing bingo, doing crosswords and word searches, and collecting porcelain dolls. She is survived by a son and daughter in-law, Bruce and Stacy Karcesky of Dunkirk, Md.; four grandchildren, Cory (Clint) Harris, Casey (Dan) Golden, Devin (Kevin) Hall and Gretchen (Nate) Klahr; 10 great-grandchildren, Hunter, Maddox, Harper, Tripp, Lucas, Mackenzie, Colton, Addison, Carson and Reagan; a sister, Virginia Matty; and a sister-in-law, Donna Moats of Belle Vernon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Karcesky on April 7, 1999; siblings, Melvin Moats, Jimmy Moats, Paul Moats, and Thelma Yates; and two brothers- in-law, Thomas Matty and Benjamin Yates.
