Born in Gillespie;Dec.2;1919;Mrs.Karbowsky was a Monessen resident for the past 31 years. She was a member of St.John the Divine Russian Orthodox Church;Monessen and its Ladies Guild;and charter member of the Monessen Football Parents Association. Mrs.Karbowsky is survived by her husband;Joseph Karbowsky;three daughters;Mrs.Edmund (Anna Marie) Schilling of Belle Vernon;Mrs.Andrew (Gloria Jean) Varganin and Mrs.Carl (Cheryl)Toye;both of Monessen;four sons;Joseph B.Karbowsky of Allenport;Ronald D.Karbowsky with the U.S.Navy at Norfolk;Va.;Thad Karbowsky of Monessen and Bradley Michael Karbowsky at home;11 grandchildren;one sister;Irene Petros of Pittsburgh and one brother;Michael Petros of Charleroi. Friends will be received in the Robert A.Billick Funeral Home Inc.;Grand Blvd.and Marion Ave.;Monessen Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Parastas services will be conducted at the funeral home Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday;with a Blessing service at 9:30 a.m.at the funeral home;followed by Requiem services at St.John the Divine Russian Orthodox Church;Monessen;with the Rev.Nicholas Fedorchak;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Billick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
