Obituary

Mrs. Mary Jane Kendrick,aged 46,wife of Joseph Kendrick.Sr.,of 718 Lookout avenue,died Monday night,September 2,1929,at 9 o'clock in the Mercy hospital,Pittsburgh,following an illness of two weeks.  Mrs. Kendrick,who was one of the best known residents in the community,was taken suddenly ill two weeks ago and underwent an operation on August 19 in the Mercy hospital.  Her death is mourned by a large number of relatives and friends in this vicinity. She was born in England,a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Deam,and had resided in Charleroi for the past thirty-seven years.  Early in life she joined with the First Presbyterian Church and had always been loyal in her service to the church and its prupose. There survive her husband,two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Kohut,of Fairhope,and Mrs. Loretta M.E. Kostick,of Akron,Ohio,and two sons,Joseph Kendrick,Jr.of Charleroi,and William Kendrick at home. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the late home with Rev. R.J.Shields in charge.  Interment will take place in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
