Mary Girardin Benamati of Clarkesville (Williamstown);died Friday;Dec.28;1984;in Mon Valley Hospital. She was 79. Mrs.Benamati was born in Monessen on Jan.10;1905;a daughter of the late Jack and Dominica Vivian. She was a homemaker and a member of St.Thomas Church of Clarkesville and the Christian Mothers Society of the Church. Previously she had resided in the California and Belle Vernon areas. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her first husband;Angelo Girardin on July 25;1956;her second husband;Frank Benamati on May 10;1984;two brothers;William and Batiste Vivian;and a sister;Clara Andrews. Survivors include a son;Jack Girardin of Fallowfield Twp.;two daughters;Mrs.Lillian Plevel of Clarkesville and Mrs.Louise Winship of Independence;Mo.;a stepson;Bernard Benamati of Fredericktown;two stepdaughters;Mrs.Kathryn Bedosky of Jefferson and Mrs.Joseph (Frances) Portler of Clarkesville R.D.1;six grandchildren;three great-grandchildren;9 step-grancchildren;17 step-great-grandchildren;a brother;Ernest Vivian Sr.of Long Branch;and a sister;Florence Benny of Portage;Ind. Burial was held today in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Behn Funeral Home Inc.is handling the arrangements.
