Mrs. Mary Gertrude Britt; 66; of 837 Monongahela street; Belle Vernon; died at her home; January 10; 1960; at 9 a.m.
She was born in West Brownsville; May 21; 1893; and had been a resident of Belle Vernon and vicinity for fifty years. She was a member of the Brownsville Methodist church.
She is survived by her husband; Elmer L. Britt; three sons; John of Indianapolis; Indiana; James of Mt. Pleasant; Ohio; and Elmer Jr.; of Fairhope; two daughters; Mrs. Clarkson (Emma) BOOK of Belle Vernon; and Mrs. Raymond (Ella Mae) OWENS of Belle Vernon; R. D. 3; eighteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Mrs. Mary Gertrude Britt, 66, of 837 Monongahela street, Belle Vernon, died at her home, January 10, 1960, at 9 a.m. She was born in West Brownsville, May 21, 1893, and had been a resident of Belle Vernon and vicinity for fifty years. She was a member of the Brownsville Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Elmer L. Britt, three sons, John of Indianapolis, Indiana, James of Mt. Pleasant, Ohio, and Elmer Jr., of Fairhope, two daughters, Mrs. Clarkson (Emma) Book of Belle Vernon, and Mrs. Raymond (Ella Mae) Owens of Belle Vernon, R. D. 3, eighteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon from 1 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 10 p.m.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.  Rev. Chester Bird of Grace Lutheran Church,Monongahela,will officiate.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Shelby D. Ferguson,funeral director.
