died Saturday; March 9; 1974 at
10 p.m. in the Waddington Rest
Home; Fayette City. She was
born in Yugoslavia on October
21; 1887; and was a member of
the Holy Spirit R.C. Church;
Fayette City; and the Slovene
National Benefit Society; Lodge
224; Fayette City. Preceding her
in death were her husband;
Joseph; in 1969; and one son;
Matthew Shirley; Sr.; in 1971.
Surviving are one son; Joseph
Shirley; Jr. of Pricedale; three
daughters; Mrs. Arthur (Mary)
Schwenk of North Charleroi;
Mrs. Rose Winship of R.D. 1;
Fayette City; Mrs. Ted
(Frances) Sobek of Belle Vernon;
ten grandchildren; fourteen
great-grandchildren.
Friends are being received in
the Howard W. McCrory
Funeral Home; Fayette City;
until Tuesday at 11:30 a.m.
when prayer services will be
held; followed by Mass of Christian
Burial at noon in the Holy
Spirit R.C. Church; Fayette City;
with Fr. Stephen G. Drab as
celebrant. Interment will be in
Belle Vernon Cemetery. The
Rosary will be recited Monday evening
at 7:30 in the funeral home.
