Mary Ellen Brewer age 72 of Hopwood, Pa passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018 in Laurel Ridge Center. She was born August 14, 1945 in Uniontown, Pa daughter of the late John and Ida Elizabeth Davis Brewer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Brewer and John Brewer and two sisters Gloria Currey and Shirley Spiker. Mary Ellen was a member of Fairchance Church of the Brethren and graduated from Fairchance Georges High School class of 1963. She was a long time sales clerk for Hills department store. She is survived by a brother James F. Brewer and wife Virginia of Maryland, and Debbie and Ken Bryson who were her care givers and with whom she made her home. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and close friends. Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD, Pa, Monday, February 12, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm and Tuesday from 9 to 10 am the hour of service in the funeral home with Reverend Dr. Vincent Cable, and Reverend Randy Costolo officiating.
