Obituary

Mrs.Mary McClain,aged 74 years,died at the home of her daughter,Mrs.Jennie Bowen,103 Third street,Belle Vernon,at 5:05 o'clock Saturday evening,March 30,1935,after a lingering illness. Mrs.McClain had been ailing for a long time but was bedfast for the last eight weeks. She was taken seriously ill at the home of her son,Ray,at Newell,while there on a visit and was brought back to her home here,and although in much pain she was always very cheerful and pleased to have her friends visit her. She was a member of the Auxiliary to the Sons of Union Veterans. She is survived by her daughter,Mrs.Bowen,son Ray McClain of Newell,four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the home of her daughter on Tuesday afternoon,April 2,1935,at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev.M.S.Spear,with interment in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
