Mary Tolan Dawson of 308 W.Main St.;Monongahela;formerly of Fayette City;died Saturday;Jan.28;1984;at 8:45 p.m. in her home following a lengthy illness. She was 96. Mrs.Dawson was born Dec.9;1887;in Courtney;Pa.;a daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth Hartley Tolan. Her husband;Richard Dawson;died March 14;1962. Surviving are one son;Clarence Dawson of Monongahela;one daughter;Charlotte Dawson;at home;four grandchildren;four great-grandchildren;and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and until 2 p.m. Tuesday;the hour of services in the funeral home;with the Rev.James Gardner;pastor;Peoples’Bible Church;Belle Vernon;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
