Obituary

Mary Choker Davis, 92, of Fairhope, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004, at 6 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. Born Oct. 27, 1911, in Mt. Carmel, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Anna Woytovich Choker. A homemaker, Mrs. Davis was a resident of Fairhope for the past 43 years and a member of St. Joseph National Catholic Church, Fairhope. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Loretta and George Aul of Fairhope and Mary and Frank Heilman of Belle Vernon, one sister, Mildred Chilsom of Fairless Hills, three grandchildren, Cheryl Church, Kim Bettile and George Aul Jr., and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Davis, in 1978, one brother, Walter Choker, three sisters, Helen Gillotti, Eva Wall and Julie Godzak, and one granddaughter, Marilyn Lorenzo. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon (724-929-6183. A Prayer Service will be held Friday, Feb. 27 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph National Catholic Church, Fairhope, with the Rev. Felix Pyzowski, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
