Obituary
Mrs. Mary Davis,aged 54 years,330 Third street,died suddenly Friday evening,Nov. 21,1952,at 7:30 o'clock at her late home. A resident of Monessen for the past 33 years,the deceased was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion,Joseph H. Ford Post 691. Surviving are her husband, William (Cornbread) Davis; three sons,John and James,both of New York,and Francis,of Baltimore,Md.; a sister,Mrs. Minnie Brown of New York City;and a brother,Fletcher Hill,of Gaffney,N.C. Friends are being received at the Draper Funeral Home,Sixth street. Funeral services will be held Tuesday,Nov. 25,at 11 a.m.,from the Union Baptist Church,with Rev. H.A.S. Cooke officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Beverly C. Draper,funeral director.
