Obituary
Mrs. Mary Belles, aged 60 years,101 Water street, Belle Vernon, died Saturday, Feb. 28, at 5:20 p.m. in Presbyterian hospital, Pittsburgh. Born in Brownsville, the deceased was a member of the Methodist Church, Allenport, and the Order of the Eastern Star, Belle Vernon. Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Charles Layton, Sr.; three sons, Elmer and Charles, both of Washington, D. C., and Howard, of Charleroi; two daughters, Mrs. Wilbert Salm, Pittsburgh, and Mrs. Bruce Johnson, Elco; a brother. Major Charles Layton, Jr., with the Armed Forces in Germany; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Friends are being received at the Melenyzer-Ferguson Funeral Home, Broad avenue, Belle Vernon,where funeral services will be held Tuesday,Mar.3 at 2 p.m.with the Rev.William Schatz,of the Methodist Church,Belle Vernon officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Charles L.Melenyzer and Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral directors.
