Obituary

Mary Belle Coughanour, 86, of Belle Vernon (Fairhope), died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002, in Jefferson Center Hospital. A daughter of the late Edward and Anna Blacka, she was born in Belle Vernon on Nov. 1, 1916. She was a lifelong member of Marion Presbyterian Church and was previously a deacon. Mrs. Coughanour belonged to the Golden Agers and enjoyed activities at the Center on the Hill. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Coleman Donahue of Baldwin, two grandchildren, Lynn DiCenzo and husband Tony of West Mifflin, and Coleman J. Donahue III and wife Diana of Roscoe, 10 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Coughanour on July 24, 1990, and two brothers, Charles and Francis Blacka. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., (724-929-5300), a Golden Rule Member Firm, 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. Funeral services will be in Marion Presbyterian Church, 207 Perry Ave., Belle Vernon, on Monday, Nov. 11, at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. William Lawson officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
