Obituary
Mary "Babe" Teska, 72, of 501 Main St., Belle Vernon, died Friday, May 24.1991, at 11:20 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital Inc., Carroll Township. Born June 21, 1918, in Belle Vernon, she was the daughter of the late James and Sarah Alessio Mazza. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mrs. Teska was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. With her sister, Gilda Duda, she owned and operated the former Mazza Grocery Store in Belle Vernon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Teska, on Oct. 31, 1987, and several brothers and sisters. Surviving are one daughter, Patricia Daniels of Belle Vernon; two grandchildren, Alexis
Smith and John Daniels; and two sisters, Josephine Teano and Gilda Duda, both of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received Monday, May 27, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc., 700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where a Prayer service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.,followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.
