Obituary

Mary A.Zapora,82,of 811 Washington St.,Belle Vernon,died at Mon Valley Hospital,Inc.on Sunday,July 14,1985,at 1:50 p.m. Born in Poland,Nov.10,1902,she was a daughter of the late Michael and Victoria Andrevak Frenchek. Mrs.Zapora was a Polish National by faith and was a resident of the Belle Vernon area since 1945. She was preceded in death by her husband,John Zapora,May 28,1973,and two children,Edward and Connie. Surviving are sons,Leon L.Zapora of Selenas,Calif.,Martin Zapora of Monessen and Carey Zapora of Ann Arbor,Mich,four daughters,Sophie Panzo of North Versailles,Violet W.Zuro of Belle Vernon,Bernice Ross of Dearborn,Mich.and Mrs.John (Mildred) Panyard of Melvindale,Mich.,a brother,Chester Frenchek of Greensburg,four sisters,Nellie Gomski of Pittsburgh,Bernice Lohman of the Poconos,Helen Muzina of Latrobe and Stephanie Fleummer of Phoenix,Ariz.,17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Rev.Felix Pysowski of Washington,Pa.,officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
