Obituary

Mary A.Evans Lape of 827 Oakland Ave.,Charleroi,died Sunday,Oct.7 at 7:15 p.m. in the Mon Valley Hospital. She was 84. Mrs.Lape was born Sept.22,1900,in Fayette City,a daughter of the late Albert R.and Emma R.Kuhn Evans. A Charleroi resident for the past 54 years,she was a member of the First Christian Church and the Senior Citizens,both of Charleroi. In addition to her parents,Mrs.lape was preceded in death by her husband,Harry C.Lape,1963,and by a daughter,Katherine M.Cmar,Sept.30,1979. Survivors include two sons,Paul A.Lape of Belle Vernon and Paul T.Lape of Charleroi,a son-in-law,Edward A.Cmar with whom she made her home,a brother,Roy Evans of Belle Vernon,a sister,Mrs.Ben (Katherine) Bilotto of Monessen,four grandchildren,three great-grandchildren,and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where services will be held Wednesday,Oct.10 at 10:30 a.m.with the Rev.John Brownlee,pastor of the First Christian Church of Charleroi,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Monessen Ambulance Service. The Leonard j.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
