Mary A. Boord; 94; of Monessen; died Friday; March 23; 2007; in Heartland Hospice; Jeannette. She was born in Belle Vernon on Aug. 1; 1912; the daughter of the late George and Evelyn (Ellen) Diethorn. She was a lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon and Monessen areas; and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by two daughters-in-law; Lorraine Boord; of Monessen; and Mary Ann Boord; of Smithton; eight grandchildren; Ken Boord; Mark Boord; Scott Boord; Kim Smith; Richard Boord; Melvin Boord Jr.; Rhonda Luczyki; and Warren Boord; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Walter S. Boord Sr.; two sons; Walter S. Boord Jr. and Melvin W. Boord; three grandchildren; Amy; Jason; and Shaun Boord; and several brothers and sisters. Friends will be received Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC.; 441 Reed Ave.; Monessen (724-684-8750).
