Martina Caruso; 88; of Belle Vernon; passed away Thursday; Aug. 9; 2012. A daughter of the late Giacomo and Marietta Enrico Piacentino; she was born Sept. 8; 1923. Martina was a homemaker and a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church; the Annita Garibaldi Society and former Christian Mothers. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law; Marie Adametz and her husband; Andrew; of Belle Vernon; and Louise Cox and her husband; Donald; of Brownsville; four grandchildren; Richard Adametz; of Belle Vernon; Lisa Palm and her husband; Michael; of Farmington; Tricia Kristufek and her husband; Michael; of Pittsburgh; and Christopher Cox; of Columbus; Ohio; two great-granddaughters; Bella Palm and Annabelle Kristufek; and a third great-granddaughter due any day. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Frank Caruso; in 1991; her brother; Angelo Piacentino; and her sister; Theresa Mascara.
