Obituary

Martina Caruso, 88, of Belle Vernon, passed away Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012. A daughter of the late Giacomo and Marietta Enrico Piacentino, she was born Sept. 8, 1923. Martina was a homemaker and a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, the Annita Garibaldi Society and former Christian Mothers. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Marie Adametz and her husband, Andrew, of Belle Vernon, and Louise Cox and her husband, Donald, of Brownsville, four grandchildren, Richard Adametz, of Belle Vernon, Lisa Palm and her husband, Michael, of Farmington, Tricia Kristufek and her husband, Michael, of Pittsburgh, and Christopher Cox, of Columbus, Ohio, two great-granddaughters, Bella Palm and Annabelle Kristufek, and a third great-granddaughter due any day. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Caruso, in 1991, her brother, Angelo Piacentino, and her sister, Theresa Mascara. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com , 724-929-5300. A blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with Father Vincent J. Gigliotti as celebrant. The Rosary will be prayed at 3 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home led by members of St. Sebastian Parish.
