Obituary

 

Martha Krill of 1106 Henry St.,Belle Vernon,died Thursday,June 18,1987,at 1 p.m.in Haven Crest Nursing Home,Carroll Twp.  She was 84.   Mrs.Krill was born Jan.7,1903,in Wick Haven,a daughter of the late Michael and Theodosia Monita Shlanta.  She was a member  of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church,Belle Vernon,and the St.Barbara's Guild of the church.  Mrs.Krill had lived in Belle Vernon for over 70 years,and had been proprietor of Krill's Market in North Belle Vernon for 50 years.  In addition for her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband,Michael Krill,in 1932,a son,Clement,in 1930,five brothers,John,Elmer,Nicholas,Clement and Martin Shlanta,and a sister,Mary Obsnarsky.  Survivors include two sons,Joseph Krill of Belle Vernon and Eugene Krill of Monongahela,one sister,Myra Stepanovich of Weirton,W.Va.,six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  Friends will be received Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon.  Funeral services will be held Monday,June 22,at 9 a.m.in Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church,Belle Vernon,with the Very Rev.John Kluchko officiating.  Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Parastas will be held Sunday evening before the end of visiting hours.  Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
