Martha Alatar Horan;80;of Allenport;died Tuesday;Jan.10;1995;in her home following a short illness. Born April 18;1914;in Plummer;Minn.;she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Lyyti Huotari Maatta. Protestant by faith;she was a member of the Allenport Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband;Joseph Horan of Allenport;one son and daughter-in-law;Robert and Donna Horan of Allenport;one daughter and son-in-law;LaVerne and Bernard Kennedy of Allenport;10 grandchildren;16 great-grandchildren;four sisters;Elvi Maatta of Monessen;Lillian Hetico of Warren;Ohio;Ruth Geog of Blissville;Ohio;and Norma Maatta of Charleroi;and one brother;Wiljo Maatta of Monessen. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by a daughter;Nancy Ruth Pallo;four sisters;Kathryn Maatta;Tyyne Jaskari;Anna Walker and Saime Moyer;and one brother;Toivo Maatta. Friends will be received Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Ed Melenyzer Funeral Homes;Inc.;1008 Furlong Ave.;Roscoe;where services will be held Friday at 11 a.m.with the Rev.Nancy Cooper;pastor of Roscoe Presbyterian Church;officiating.
