Obituary

Marshall F.Borne,73,of Charleroi R.D.1 died Friday,Oct.19,1990,at 12:52 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital Inc.,Carroll Township.  Born June 19,1917,in Charleroi,he was the son of the late Marshall and Bessie Williams Borne.  A lifelong resident of the Charleroi area,Mr.Borne was a member of First Christian Church.  He was also a member of F&AM Lodge 615 and the Elks, both of Charleroi, and the Consistory, Shrine and Legion of  Honor of Pittsburgh.  He retired in 1972 from the Allenport plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, where he had been employed in the oil well tubing department.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Audrey Payton Borne; two sons, Marshall J. Borne of Charleroi and Lawrence R. Borne of the U.S. Navy stationed at Virginia Beach, Va.; two daughters, Mrs. John (Sandra) Ballentyne and Mrs. John (Robin) Leon, both of Charleroi; four grandchildren, Marshall Usher, Rebecca Usher, Jill Ballentyne and Mollie Borne; and one brother, Robert Borne of Nescopeck, Pa. Friends will be received Saturday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon,where services will be held Monday at 11 a.m.with Dr.George M.Hickok of First Christian Church,Charleroi,officiating.  Interment will be private.  Arrangements are being handled by the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.
